Appropriate clothing for Physical Education is as follows:
- White t-shirt – with or without the school crest
- Black shorts
- Grey or Black joggers may be worn in colder weather
- Socks *Tights must be removed for health & safety reasons
- Pumps/trainers with elastic or Velcro (laced pumps/trainers are acceptable if children can tie laces)
For swimming lessons KS2 pupils will require;
- One piece swimming costume or Trunks – above the knee
- A towel
Children may wear their P.E. kit to school on days where P.E. is on their class timetable. However, your child will need a pair of pumps/trainers to change into for P.E. lessons. Children should keep their pumps/trainers in a bag labelled with their name, which can be hung on their peg.
Long hair must always be tied back securely. Patterned or ‘cut in’ hairstyles are not permitted.
Please Note:
Make-up and nail enamel are not suitable for school and should NOT be worn.
One or one pair of plain stud earrings in ear lobes only. An analogue or digital watch may be worn – NO other jewellery is permitted.
Footwear
Only flat, black/navy shoes should be worn inside school. In the interest of safety, all shoes/sandals should have covered toes and ankle supports. They should also be secured with a strap or laces – ballet/pump style shoes are not appropriate for school. We recommend children in Key Stage 1 have Velcro fasteners rather than buckles or laces.
Please note, trainers are not part of our school uniform policy and should not be worn to school in place of school shoes; boots should not be worn inside the school building but may be worn on the journey to/from school.
ALL UNIFORM/BELONGINGS MUST BE CLEARLY LABELLED WITH THE CHILD’S FULL NAME.
Any parent/carer experiencing difficulty in meeting the required standard of uniform is invited to contact the school Principal in confidence for support.
